It has been a long and probably for the first time I left for my job that I am posting on this blog. Just returned on the weekend and idea came to my mind ---let me open the blog and yes (!!!) i found a new post - in gujarati though- from Goka...loved that...hehe
well, it has been about 20 days of my stay at Atul (Valsad dist.) and it's a really beautiful place to live. The first word that comes out of a person's mind when one reaches Atul colony is - What a Jungle!!! Soooooo many trees and green stuff... Adding to that Atul even produces GREEN COLOUR DYEs...!!!
hummm...so, what can you expect in or from(!!!) a Jungle? Snakes? Yes, it is there...I mean they are there - both poisonous and non-poisonous. One can fine any variety of cockroaches, honey bees and what else?!!! you name it and it is there....Including me...:P
so, coming to the point; we had an induction program from 15th July to 27th July, enjoyed a lot. A lot of lectures - both soporific and non-soporific. You name the type and it was there..;) :P hehe
Finally the division was allotted and I am in CP (crop protection) division. It produces many things - phosgene, carbamite, pesticides, insecticides, 2 4 DCP etc. I was for 10 days in Phosgene plant (Bhopal fame !!!) for process study and to get my self acquainted with the working pattern and process and common problems that a manufacturing site faces...just done with it and will be moving to 2,4 DCP plant soon for Process improvement and projects...
Life @ Atul is much different - clean air, calm atmosphere and pin drop silence all around the campus. NO INTERNET CONNECTIVITY adds some more shanti to it...:( Tata Photon - and so the others - working (if sometimes !!!) at the speed of 8KBPS brings pleasure when a web page opens...
Accommodation is 2BHK house where 1 bed room is mine and the other one it for the other fellow...Food - geetha restaurant, Officers' mess (Rs. 35/- one time), Guest house (Rs. 45/- one time), canteen (@ Plant @ Rs. 15/- one time). In guest house, food quality is excellent and it comes with a sweet and farsan. I prefer Guest House food but used to change.
I have bought a cycle and I enjoy riding it. I take it to club and plant and sometimes just for cycling...some people have brought and bought bikes but I enjoy cycling...:)
Club is a good place to play TT and to read news papers. Main gate is an area where the market is available. Parnera hills add beauty to Atul.
It's a good place to live as I said. You people can also come - I will arrange accommodation and all, do not worry about it - as it is a good holiday spot. Tithal is near by and daman is also near.
When I returned to baroda...I felt like...I am breathing my own Air... miss u Baroda....:)
